Run Like A Legend

The Mile is one of the most iconic distances in athletics. Sir Roger Bannister captured the worlds imagination in 1954 when he became the first man to break the seemingly impossible 4 minute barrier. Since then just over 1000 athletes have matched his feat. That’s not many in 65 years! So how about a 6 minute mile or an 8 minute mile? What’s your record? Do you know? Here’s your chance to find your limit and emulate Roger Bannister as you Run Like A Legend! The Durham City Run Festival, in partnership with Durham University, will feature an accurately measured 1 Mile course along the banks of the River Wear.START & FINISH – Outside the Boat Club, DH1 3AF
Turnaround – Bandstand alongside the Racecourse
Start Times – 20 minute slots from 10.40am to 4.40pm
