“I complete not compete”

“I complete not compete”

“These words stay with me every time I run or cycle, whether it be a social run, parkrun, Solo run or race. A friend told me this a couple of year’s ago and for me never truer words are said.
Turn back the clock to 2015 when I started C25k I never thought I would be able to run for 30 seconds never mind a half marathon, all my race numbers and medal’s getting displayed in the kitchen, for me they mean so much, evertime I look at them, I think i completed that event.
Don’t get me wrong I love a pb as much as the next person but getting to the finish line means much more…..  Next stop Blaydon Race!”
Happy running!
