“I can’t believe it’s nearly here!”

It really is the final countdown!

As we make final preparations for the Durham City Run Festival, our EOTN Ambassador is looking ahead and counting down the days too. Peter’s latest blog is here:

“I can’t believe it’s nearly here.
I have to say the Durham 10k/5k races are very special.
Firstly Durham is a beautiful city. The evening atmosphere is amazing and so different to a Sunday morning start. Then there is the course, running around the historic streets and down by the river taking in the sights. Oh yes and not to forget the impressive Cathedral finish with the slight incline just before.
I was worried I might not make the race at one point a few weeks back. Having sprained my left ankle’s ligaments at a recent race, the clock was ticking to be ready.
I’m so glad I’m back running and will be on the start line.
Hopefully my wife will be able to do her first Durham. She pulled her calf muscle and has been struggling to recover. But with many fellow Orchard Eagles running club members and my Team Tedious mates doing it, I won’t be short of familiar faces at the race.
Best of luck everyone, enjoy the run and soak up the atmosphere!
