EOTN support parkrunathon 2019
THIS SATURDAY, June 1st, a group of runners will take on a marathon challenge in a day in support of the Durham City Run partner charity If U Care Share.
The event will run over 8.5 North East parkruns over the day, starting at Sedgefield parkrun. Runners across the region will join together to complete some or all of the ‘unofficial’ runs which are supported by volunteers from both If U Care Share and parkrun.
Events of the North are represented at the event by Anji Andrews from the team who aims to take part in the whole marathon distance over the day after seeing the impact the charity has on people in the local area through being the Durham City Run charity partner for the past two years. Anji looks after the Start Me Up for Durham programme and sees first hand the effect physical activity can have on a person’s wellbeing.
It’s not too late to run in the Prince Bishop’s Durham City Run in support of If U Care Share, just select the option when you sign up. For more information on If U Care Share, visit their website https://www.ifucareshare.co.uk/
